How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Updated over a year ago

Two-Factor Authentication is an extra layer of security used to make sure that people trying to gain access to an online account are who they say they are.

For NitroPack, two-factor authentication can be configured by using the Google Authenticator app (available in Google play and App store), which allows us to generate unique codes (one-time passwords) upon each login.

Similar apps offering TOTP (Time-Based One-Time-Password) can also be used.

To enable Two-Factor Authentication for your account:

2. Head to the bottom of the page to "2-Factor Authentication" and turn on the feature:

3. You will then be prompted to scan a QR code with the Authenticator app on your phone and enter the newly generated 6-digit code for this website

4. Once you've successfully configured it, you will receive recovery codes in case you lose access to your Authenticator app - write those down in a safe place.

If you ever lose access to your account and do not have access to your recovery codes, you can reach out to our Support team to assist you: https://nitropack.io/page/contactus
