Font Compression Upgrade
Updated over a week ago

Font Compression is a feature that will optimize your fonts by upgrading their compression to WOFF2 format.

WOFF2 (Web Open Font Format 2) is a compressed font format specifically designed for web usage. It is an improvement over its predecessor, WOFF (Web Open Font Format), and offers better compression and improved performance.

Fonts used on websites can be quite large, which can negatively impact the loading speed and performance of web pages. To address this issue, WOFF2 utilizes a more advanced compression algorithm, resulting in significantly smaller file sizes compared to other font formats like TrueType or OpenType.

Font Compression can reduce the size of your fonts by up to 50%.

As a result, you will experience quicker page loading times, which is crucial for delivering a seamless user experience, especially on mobile devices or in areas with limited internet connectivity.

Additionally, smaller file sizes can lead to reduced bandwidth usage and improved overall website performance.
