W3C Validation Errors: What to Do If You Encounter Them
Updated over a week ago

If you run a markup validation check, such as the W3C tool or FreeFormMatter validator, you might encounter errors that pertain to the markup that NitroPack added during the optimization process.

Here’s an example of generated validation report:

Why W3C shows validation errors when NitroPack is enabled?

Primarily, the issue lies in the fact that these attributes are not official ones. The same is used by our service to allow the execution of our optimization process and further change its default behavior when needed.

Do NitroPack’s custom attributes harm my website?

These attributes do not affect your website’s accessibility or SEO, nor do they negatively impact your performance.

Can I disable the custom attributes by NitroPack?

Please note that these custom attributes allow our service to operate in its current manner and cannot be disabled.
