Reverse Proxy Integration (Varnish, NGINX, etc.)
Updated over a week ago

If you’re using a reverse proxy (like Varnish or NGINX) or your hosting uses one by default, you’ll need to configure a few settings, so NitroPack can synchronize both caches for the best performance.

There are already a few hosting providers where we have additional compatibilities, and this process is usually automatic.

Here’s a list of them:

  • Flywheel - see our article;

  • Kinsta

  • WPX Hosting

  • WP Engine

  • GoDaddy

  • Dreamhost

  • DreamPress

  • Cloudways (manual configuration required);

  • Pagely (automatic - their Pagely Cache should be enabled);

  • SiteGround

  • SAVVII

  • Pressable

  • Rocket.net

  • Hostinger

If your hosting provider is not on this list, you’ll need some information from them to complete this process.

1. Log into NitroPack’s app and go to “Integrations”.

2. Then, select "View Settings" in the Reverse Proxy widget.

3. On the next screen, you’ll have to fill in information like HTTP methods and a list of IPs of reverse proxy servers. Don’t worry if you don’t know what these things are. Contact your hosting provider, and they’ll give you the required information.

You can send them this screenshot to make it even easier:

Fill in the required information and click “Save” to complete the process.
