Using NitroPack and Ad Management Services Simultaneously
Updated over a week ago

By default, NitroPack doesn't modify ad performance on your website. If ads are affecting your performance metrics, you can manually turn on our “Optimize Ads” feature from under the "Cache Settings" panel -> Cache.

Before you can enable this feature, you’ll see the following pop-up message:

We’ve set up NitroPack this way because our users often rely on ad management services like Mediavine, AdThrive, Google AdSense, Ezoic, or others. Some of these services have their own ad optimization features.

In such cases, enabling two separate ad optimization features at the same time can cause problems.

That’s why if you have a 3rd party ad optimization feature already running (as a part of a service like Mediavine or AdThrive), we recommend sticking to NitroPack’s default ad optimization settings.

Ezoic and NitroPack: How to Set Up

Ezoic offers two primary methods for integrating its services into your WordPress site:

  1. Plugin Method: This method involves installing the Ezoic plugin on your WordPress site. It simplifies the integration process, allowing you to manage ads directly through the WordPress dashboard without altering your DNS settings.

  2. DNS Method: This approach requires a full DNS integration, where Ezoic takes control of your website's DNS settings. This method provides more advanced features through Ezoic's Leap technology, which includes caching and other optimization techniques.

Depending on the method you choose, you will or will not face compatibility issues when integrating NitroPack with Ezoic:

Compatible with the Ezoic plugin

When you integrate Ezoic via the WordPress plugin method, NitroPack remains fully compatible.

This setup allows you to leverage NitroPack's powerful optimization features alongside Ezoic's ad management capabilities without conflict. The plugin method ensures that NitroPack can effectively perform its optimization tasks without interference from Ezoic’s caching systems.

Incompatible with the DNS integration

If you opt for the full DNS integration method with Ezoic, NitroPack becomes incompatible.

This is due to the caching mechanisms provided by Ezoic's Leap technology, which takes over site optimization and caching duties. Leap's system conflicts with NitroPack’s optimization processes, leading to potential performance issues and instability.
