Although the iThemes Security plugin is compatible with NitroPack, there is one setting that needs to be adjusted to ensure that NitroPack can work seamlessly with iThemes Security.

In order for NitroPack to work properly and be able to serve optimizations, it needs permission to write in the .htaccess and wp-config.php files and create advanced-cache.php and the cache and NitroPack folder.

However, inside the iThemes Security plugin, there is a feature to prevent system files from being editable.

Those system files include the ones that NitroPack needs to edit, and therefore iThemes Security prevents us from doing this.

Once you install NitroPack, make sure you have turned off System Files Protection in the iThemes Security plugin settings:
